Saga Guerra Kree - Skrull (1971- 1972)

"Durante años, se ha sabido de cierto que tres imperios son los que dominan el espacio en el Universo Marvel Los Kree, los Skrulls y los Shi’ar. Sin embargo, como todo equilibrio militar, ha llegado a ser roto en más de una ocasión. La guerra Kree - Skrull, saga publicada en 1971, nos narra uno de esos enfrentamientos, explicando también el motivo de las hostilidades entre los dos imperios. El combate bien hubiera podido haber sido cuestión exclusiva de ambos, de no ser porque se ramificó hacia la Tierra, y fue necesario que los Vengadores intervinieran. Esta primera saga fue la que abrió las aventuras espaciales para este grupo, y que ha continuado hasta la fecha. Del mismo modo, estos hechos desencadenarían posteriormente la Operation Galactic Storm, que rompería definitivamente el equilibrio de poderes en el Universo." [Subido por Jimmy]

El acta de registro originada a inicios de la guerra civil dictó que todo enmascarado que quisiese obrar como superheroe debía inscribirse y de esta forma pasaría a ser un empleado del gobierno bajo el mando de SHIELD teniendo diversos beneficios como un sueldo y seguro de salud, pero quienes no hagan esto infringen la ley y arriesgan condena presidiaria.

La Iniciativa es algo que ya habíamos oído en boca de Tony Stark y Reed Richards a lo largo de la guerra Civil, bajo el nombre de La iniciativa de los 50 Estados. Estos pretenden que cada estado de los, ejem, Estados unidos, tenga su propio grupo de superhéroes, para evitar así que ocurra lo que, en apariencia, desencadenó la Guerra Civil.

The Initiative comienza en las páginas finales de Civil War #7. Una vez finalizado el enfrentamiento entre los super-héroes, el gobierno norteamericano decide continuar con su política de un supergrupo en cada Estado. Eso es la Iniciativa. De esta manera, se forman agrupaciones en las que se incluyen héroes nuevos, otros recuperados del olvido e incluso malo reconvertidos (Thunderbolts, que son solicitados como el grupo oficial de un estado por su gobernador).

Los Scrull han estado invadiendo secretamente durante decadas la tierra. Los Avengers fueron a Japón y encontraron a Elektra muerta, pero la sorpresa de todos fue que ella era una Skrull y nadie lo sabía, o aún peor, ninguna tenología existente lo había detectado. Esto a puesto en alerta a Tony Stark director de S.H.I.E.L.D. quien sospecha que Elektra no es el único caso... ¿como saber quien es Skrull y quien no?, ¿en quien confias?
